Fatto Bar and Cantina is a relaxed Italian bar and eatery in a bright, minimalist space drenched in natural light. Fatto looks over the Yarra River with arguably the most unique and breath-taking view of the Melbourne city skyline.

Led by Venue Manager & Head Chef James Kummrow, Fatto serves contemporary takes on classic Italian food. Fatto takes pride in Italian by hand with pasta made fresh daily in venue and a menu driven by the best seasonal produce. James draws on his experience working at venues such as The Royal Mail Hotel, Fenix, Journal Canteen (led by Rosa Mitchell), Church St Enoteca and two-Michelin starred The Square, London and The Vineyard, England - also with two-Michelin stars.

Fatto offers two distinct spaces. The Cantina provides table service and a range of signature Italian dishes including pasta, steak, salad and dessert. The Bar and Bar Terrace offer a substantial drinks list featuring classic Italian cocktails as well as snacks, antipasto and specials like the $10 formaggi burger and $10 pizzas. The outdoor heated terrace runs the length of the building, providing al fresco dining under the vines on the doorstep of the Arts Precinct.

Fatto is open daily from 12pm until late. The Cantina welcomes reservations and walk ins. ‘Aperitivo Hour’ runs every day in the Bar from 4-6pm offering $9 classic Italian cocktails, $7 wine and $5 beer – no need to book, just grab a seat and order at the Bar.

World Pasta Day

This Thursday, 25 October, come in and enjoy World Pasta Day at Fatto with a delicious selection of pastas on offer. Enjoy your favourites or select from our special World Pasta Day menu.

Head Chef, James Kummrow, has crafted a unique World Pasta Day menu based on your favourites. We asked our Instagram followers what pastas they wanted to see on the menu and we’re featuring the top three dishes for one day only. Our special pasta menu will include parmesan gnocchi with salt grass lamb ragu, rigatoni bolognese with truffle pesto, and linguine with grilled prawns & peas.

The limited World Pasta Day menu will be available for lunch, this Thursday in Fatto’s Cantina. Make a reservation by clicking on the ‘Booking’ tab of our website.

Bottomless Rosé

Every Sunday in October

Spring has arrived and we’re celebrating with bottomless rosé every Sunday in October. Gather your friends for a table on the sun-drenched Fatto Terrace, savour our new feasting menu featuring all of the Italian by Hand favourites, and sip your way through bottomless rosé. Throw in some of the best views in Melbourne, with true al fresco style dining and DJ’s on the decks all afternoon; and you’ve got yourself an Italian rosé party.

Enjoy 2 hours of bottomless rosé every Sunday in October including a shared feasting menu for you and your friends for $75pp. Minimum groups of four people. Bookings are essential!

Fatto is open daily from 12 noon till late.

All reservations are made in Fatto Cantina and Riverside Terrace. The Cantina Host Desk is located through Fatto Bar where you will be greeted and seated. While we do not take reservations in Fatto Bar, walk-ins are welcome at any time. The Bar menu includes Pizzas, Burgers & Share plates.

All guests dining with us between 5-7pm are required to dine from our Pre-Theatre Menu. This is a choice 2 or 3 course menu made up of all of the favourites from our a la carte menu. Please ensure that you allow an hour & a half between time of arrival and time of departure to enable us to have you served in a leisurely manner. Help us help you make it to your performance on time!

Arrival Time 5:45pm for 7:30pm Show

Arrival Time 6:15pm for 8pm Show

All groups of 8 and more are required to give their credit card details to secure a table, and are asked to dine from our Group Menu, or during Pre-Theatre times, the Pre-Theatre Group Menu. This menu can be viewed in the above Menu Tab. If your booking is for a table of 11 or more, your booking request will be sent as an email enquiry to reservations@fatto.com.au.
