Fatto Bar and Cantina is a relaxed Italian bar and eatery in a bright, minimalist space drenched in natural light. Fatto looks over the Yarra River with arguably the most unique and breath-taking view of the Melbourne city skyline.

Led by Venue Manager & Head Chef James Kummrow, Fatto serves contemporary takes on classic Italian food. Fatto takes pride in Italian by hand with pasta made fresh daily in venue and a menu driven by the best seasonal produce. James draws on his experience working at venues such as The Royal Mail Hotel, Fenix, Journal Canteen (led by Rosa Mitchell), Church St Enoteca and two-Michelin starred The Square, London and The Vineyard, England - also with two-Michelin stars.

Fatto offers two distinct spaces. The Cantina provides table service and a range of signature Italian dishes including pasta, steak, salad and dessert. The Bar and Bar Terrace offer a substantial drinks list featuring classic Italian cocktails as well as snacks, antipasto and specials like the $10 formaggi burger and $10 pizzas. The outdoor heated terrace runs the length of the building, providing al fresco dining under the vines on the doorstep of the Arts Precinct.

Fatto is open daily from 12pm until late. The Cantina welcomes reservations and walk ins. ‘Aperitivo Hour’ runs every day in the Bar from 4-6pm offering $9 classic Italian cocktails, $7 wine and $5 beer – no need to book, just grab a seat and order at the Bar.

Father’s Day Barber-Q

SUNDAY 1ST OF SEPTEMBER

This Father’s Day, Fatto is the place to celebrate with an Italian Barber-Q and free haircuts for Dad from the team from Rockit Barber.

Join us from 12pm in the Fatto Cantina for a three course Father’s Day feasting menu featuring a number of Fatto favourites and a complimentary glass of wine or beer on arrival for $60pp. Sample a selection of seasonal dishes, including salumi and cheese to start; wagyu carpaccio; spanner crab spaghettini; braised short rib, celery, horseradish; and our house chips. Kids menu also available - bookings essential.

Alternatively, grab a seat on the sundrenched Fatto Terrace as Head Chef James Kummrow fires up the coals for an Italian style BBQ, serving up $10 porchetta rolls & $5 cans of Peroni Rossa. Treat Dad to a haircut or trim
with the team from Rockit Barber offering Dads complimentary cuts from 12-3pm and the best views in the house. Let Dad settle in with a Peroni or two, uninterrupted views across the Melbourne City Skyline and a fresh new ‘do.

Bottomless Italian Wine

Sundays in August

Winter is in full swing so it’s time to dress up, escape the house and join us at Fatto for bottomless Italian wine every Sunday in July, including a winter feasting menu. Cosy up in the Fatto

Cantina with your favourite group of friends, and settle in for an afternoon of fun, feasting and stunning winter views across Melbourne’s city skyline.

We’re excited to feature three of our favourite Victorian made, Italian varietals of wine, including Pizzini Prosecco (King Valley), Range Life Garganega (King Valley), Camelback Chardonnay (Sunbury) and Shady Lane Shiraz (Grampians) - select your favourite tipple or feel free to try all four.

Sip your way through bottomless wine and feast your way through three indulgent winter courses, including citrus cured black kingfish with pickled pear and a rice crisp; prosciutto di parma & gnocco fritto; macaroni and four cheese croquette with mustard; slow cooked beef short rib, celery and horseradish; a selection of fresh sides and tiramisu to finish.

Enjoy two hours of bottomless Italian wine every Sunday in July, including a three course feasting menu for $80pp. Minimum groups of four people. Bookings are essential.

Pronto Lunch $25pp

Autumn/Winter

Shake the Winter blues and enjoy our nourishing Pronto Lunch at Fatto.

Whether you’re on a quick work break or after a bite before a show, Fatto’s Pronto Lunch provides a quick, less formal way to experience Fatto’s menu. Curated by Head Chef James Kummrow, the Pronto menu features a number of Italian dishes, including bucatini puttanesca with tomato, olives, capers, garlic, anchovy and chilli; risotto Milanese with mascarpone, parmesan, saffron and smoked marrow bone, and; a number of other Winter warmers.

Forget the mess, packaging and price of takeaway lunches; join us in the Fatto Cantina for Pronto Lunch and enjoy a dish plus a glass of wine or mineral water for $25pp.

Pronto Lunch is available Monday to Friday, 12pm until 2pm in the Fatto Cantina - walk-ins always welcome or book via the ‘Booking’ tab on the website.

BOOKING

Fatto is open daily from 12 noon till late.

All reservations are made in Fatto Cantina and Riverside Terrace. The Cantina Host Desk is located through Fatto Bar where you will be greeted and seated. While we do not take reservations in Fatto Bar, walk-ins are welcome at any time. The Bar menu includes Pizzas, Burgers & Share plates.

All guests dining with us between 5-7pm are required to dine from our Pre-Theatre Menu. This is a choice 2 or 3 course menu made up of all of the favourites from our a la carte menu. Please ensure that you allow an hour & a half between time of arrival and time of departure to enable us to have you served in a leisurely manner. Help us help you make it to your performance on time!

All groups of 8 and more are required to give their credit card details to secure a table, and are asked to dine from our Group Menu, or during Pre-Theatre times, the Pre-Theatre Group Menu. This menu can be viewed in the above Menu Tab. If your booking is for a table of 11 or more, your booking request will be sent as an email enquiry to reservations@fatto.com.au.
